~ Two of my favorite things are knitting and reading, and the evidence of this often shows up in my photographs. I love seeing what other people are knitting and reading as well, which is why I participate in Ginny's Yarn Along over at Small Things~
I have not gotten very far with the sweater. Life has been the busiest ever, and I'm ready for a few things to fall off our plates so that we can enjoy some pursuits at home. The end of year celebrations and parties have all come to an end and #2 will be flying the nest in a few short days. I see some knitting time ahead for me, so I hope to get much further on this project in the near future. For all details about this please follow this link. I am still reading (more like devouring) Anthony Esolen's 'Ten Ways To Destroy Your Child's Imagination" - wonderful, wonderful book!
I've been working on a special little project here and there - which isn't knitting or crocheting, but it is what has been consuming what little knitting time I have (and I worked on costumes for a production of Drowsy Chaperone). This is from Camille Roskelley who has the cutest quilting website, designs the best fabric, and writes easy to understand quilt books. I truly love her work!
The project I'm the most excited about is the one pictured here though. I can't share details yet, but it is one of the best ideas I've ever had. It involves embroidery, and words of wisdom of someone we love.
This is going to take me a while, but just you wait - It is going to be wonderful!
Please visit Ginny for this weeks Yarn Along.
